Prof. B.N. Mishra

Professor B.N. Mishra holds Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is a Life Member of IEEE, USA and Fellow of IETE, India. He has made a very distinguished contribution to engineering education academically, pedagogically and administratively. He joined DCE (now DTU) in 1968 as Assistant Professor where he became Professor in 1971. He has published an Epic 'Urvashi' in English (originally written by Dinkar Ji in Hindi) which is a master piece in literature. He has translated in English his other works, viz. Rashmirathi, Kurukshetra, Hunkar, Neel Kusum, Bapu among others. As the Dean of Faculty of Tech. and Chairman Board of Research Studies, he provided a boost to the admission of a number of Research Scholars for Ph.D. degrees in the Faculty of Technology. He is the first Ph. D. of Delhi University in Engineering. He introduced a number of innovations in the laboratories and theoretical courses in addition to exam reforms. He was on foreign assignment from 1979 to 1982. In 1983, Prof. Mishra became founder Director of DIT (now known as NSIT). This institute, starting from scratch, has risen very fast and has carved out its place of respect and recognition in academia, industry and society. He had drawn up a Profile of Growth document for the development of NSIT which was very much acclaimed and adopted by the Govt. of Delhi & Govt. of India. NSIT is developing on the lines as suggested in this document. He had a brief stint at the GGSIP University, where he laid down the basic framework of pedagogy in Engineering Programs. He has been the Founder Director of Maharaja Agarsen Institute of Technology which again is the best Institute in the GGSIP University, Delhi. He has a number of publications and quality research to his credit. He has chaired a number of National and International Conferences on Education and Research. He has been a reviewer for IEEE Transaction on Circuits and Systems, published from USA. He was the Founder Chairman of Programme Co-ordination Committee for establishing the Institute of Informatics and Communication in the South Campus, University of Delhi, which is one of finest centre in Delhi University. He had been advisor to the Institution of Engineers for Educational Programs and Emeritus fellow of AICTE. He was a member of delegation to UK for a new initiative in Science and Technology between India and U.K. in 1995. He was a delegate for UN sponsored conference at AIT Bangkok. He is a recipient of NAFEN Excellence Award in Education. He is listed in Who’s Who in the Commonwealth published from Cambridge, UK
Prof. B.N. Gupta

Prof. B.N. Gupta was born on March 31, 1942. He obtained his B.Sc. (Physics, Maths & Statistics) & M.Sc. (Physics) from Agra University in 1962 & 1964 respectively, and M.Tech. (Applied Optics) & Ph.D. (Physics) from IIT, Delhi in 1968 & 1972 respectively. Prof. Gupta first began his extensive career as Sr. Design Engineer in 1977 at IIT Delhi, where he was promoted to Chief Design Engineer in 1986. He subsequently took over the role of Head, IDDC and Professor at IIT Delhi in 1995.He joined as Director, NSIT in 1997, where his tenure lasted for about six years. He rejoined IIT Delhi as a Professor after his term in NSIT.His field of specialization being Instrumentation, Prof. Gupta supervised 5 Ph.D. theses and guided over 18 M.Tech. & 3 M.Sc. projects. His teaching experience covered a large stretch of about 18 years in IIT, Delhi. Prof. Gupta published about 40 research papers and had numerous awards & distinctions to his name, including the Fellowship Award by Society for Information Sciences, India (1995); Eminent Engineer Award by Institution of Engineers, India (2001); Giants Gaurav Samman by the Giants International (2001); Super Brain of India Award by Competition Success Review (CSR); Shiromani Purskar by Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi; and the Best Citizens of India Award by the International Publishing House. Throughout his career, Prof. Gupta had been the Chairman of various governing bodies & committees, including ISTE, Delhi Section for two years and National Standing Committee (NSC) on Rural Technology of CAPART for six years. He was also the Founder Director of Mahila Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Prof. Ranjit Singh

Dr. Ranjit Singh was born on April 24, 1955 in a small village in Rewari Dist., Haryana. He obtained his B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical) from Kurukshetra University in 1978, M.Tech. from IIT Delhi in 1980 and Ph.D. from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in 1986. Dr. Singh has a wide experience in teaching and administration of engineering colleges. He is known as an institution builder & raised two government engineering colleges from scratch. At MREC Jaipur, where he joined in April, 1981, he set up the Design Centre under the UK REC Project. At MNIT Jaipur, he had been Warden, Chief Proctor and Chairman of various internal management committees. He left MNIT Jaipur in November, 2001 to join as Principal, Govt. Engineering College Bikaner. His efforts created opportunities of resource generation, thus making the college financially self-sustainable. He joined as Director-Principal, C.R. State College of Engineering, Murthal, Haryana in April, 2003. He started new B.E. courses in Bio-Technology, Bio-Informatics, MBA and two M.Tech. courses in Product Design & Development at the college. While at C.R. State College of Engineering, Dr. Singh also held additional charge of another government college, CDM Engineering College, Sirsa as Founder Principal. He joined as Director, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, New Delhi on January 2, 2004 and was here for about five years. During his tenure, NSIT’s ranking rose to amongst the top ten technology institutes in India.He initiated efforts to set up the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and a Science & Technology Park at NSIT. After leaving NSIT, Dr. Singh also worked as Executive Secretary of ISTE for some time before again serving as Principal, E.C. Bikaner till January 25, 2014. Dr. Singh has published about 20 research papers, completed 6 sponsored research projects and guided 4 Ph.D. He has attended a number of national & international conferences and visited many countries including UK, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Kenya. He is also a member of various professional bodies like ISTE, Institution of Engineering (India) and Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers, New Delhi. He was awarded Honorary Fellowship of ISTE in 2007 and accorded the Scroll of Honour by Institution of Engineers, India (Delhi center) in 2007.
Prof. Yogesh Singh

Prof. Yogesh Singh has been the Vice-Chancellor of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from July 2011 to July 2014. He was also reappointed as Vice-Chancellor for the second term of three years. The engagement as Vice Chancellor of one of the leading residential Universities in the country with more than 35000 Students,1200 Teachers and 1500 non-teaching staff, brought immense satisfaction, respect and honour.He is a member of the General Council of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) since March, 2012. He is also an independent Director of Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Government of Gujarat Undertakings) since May, 2013 and March, 2015 respectively. Prof. Singh has also worked as Chairman,Central Regional Committee, All India Council for Technical Education, Bhopal(covering states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Gujarat) from December 2011 to May 2014. He has served as Dean, University School of Information Technology, University School of Engineering & Technology (2001-2006), Controller of Examinations (2006-2011), Director Student's Welfare (2006-2009), University Proctor (2001-2006) at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. He has also been the member of various Search Committees for the appointment of Vice-Chancellors.
Prof. Jai Prakash Saini

Prof. Jai Prakash Saini is the Founder Vice-Chancellor of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi. He joined NSUT as first Vice-Chancellor on 26 September, 2018. Professor Saini holds B.Tech in Electronics Engineering in 1987 from KNIT Sultanpur; M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering in 1996 from IIT Kanpur; accomplished Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from KNIT Sultanpur from Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University, Faizabad in January 2001 and has been a passionate teacher. Prof. Saini joined as the Director of erstwhile Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, New Delhi on 25th July, 2017 till 25th September 2018. Before joining NSIT, he was working as Director, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped U. P. Kanpur for two terms i.e. from July, 2009 to January, 2010 and from November, 2015 to July, 2017; and Principal of Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur from Jan. 2010 to Dec. 2013; simultaneously he was holding the additional charge of Principal in MKR Engineering College of information Technology, Azamgargh (U. P.). Prof. Saini is a Professor of Electronics & Communication Engineering in Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering & Technology (BIET), Jhansi. Prof. Saini possesses more than 34 years of experience in academics, researches and academic administration. He was coordinator in U. P. State Entrance Exam for two terms in 2008 and 2015 and also he coordinated SEE on-line counseling from 2004-08. He was Additional Examination Controller from January, 2001 to July 2004. He served well for various responsibilities in BIET Jhansi i.e. Head of the Department for three tenures; Dean Research and Development; and associated with world bank assisted TEQIP project. Prof. Saini has served as member of academic and research committees of various Universities. Besides serving as member of several Governing Bodies of Government Institutions and Universities like Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Institute of Information Technology Bijnore; Manyawar Kanshi Ram Engineering College of Information Technology Azamghar; Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Institute of Information Technology Banda; Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped, UP Kanpur; Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering & Technology Jhansi; Harcourt Butler Technological Institute Kanpur; National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology; Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College (MMMEC), Gorakhpur, Board of Apprenticeship Training, GoI, National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology; Utter Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow; GGSIP University, New Delhi. Prof. Saini has published more than 200 International / National research papers and Supervised a number of Ph.D. & M. Tech, thesis. He is reviewer in various international journals. His research contributions in the area of Electronic Engineering appeared in the international journals and various conference proceedings published by Springer-Verlag, Elsevier and IEEE. He is life member of ISTE and fellow member in IETE. He has long standing academic interests in semiconductors, digital transmission and in mobile communication. He had delivered many lectures / keynote address and chaired various technical sessions during nation and international conferences and training programme. He also organized and contributed to several faculty development programs for teachers and training programs for student and officers of the government organizations.
